Ana Cross Easy Access Walk

The track is straight forward to follow across Spaunton Moor to Ana Cross. Then bear left to the road. Take care in crossing if you want to have lunch by the old ironstone mine workings (they give a bit of shelter if needed!). On the way back take care to take the correct turnings near Ana Cross. If in doubt, head south at the cross. If you are lucky, you might spot a rare Ring Ouzel. Slightly smaller than a blackbird, the male is black with a white bib. Dogs on leads. Length: 5.74 miles. Surface: rough. Difficulty: Medium. Total Ascent: 643 feet. Total Descent: 644 feet. Maximum Elevation: 1021 feet. Minimum Elevation: 450 feet
