About Bedale Fireworks

The Bedale Fireworks display takes place on the nearest Saturday to Guy Fawkes Night. Located in the historic Bedale Park, residents and visitors are promised a spectacular display.

The display is set to music, and young and old alike can enjoy adding their contribution to the event with novelty torches and lights which are available on the night.

The display is free and open to all but donations are welcome.

Gates open at 5.15pm, with food, novelties and entertainment, and the fireworks display starting at 7.00pm for about 20 minutes. The event closes at 8.45pm.

Parking is available on the Market Place and in both the town's car parks with overflowing parking at BASA and the Camping and Caravanning Park. Alternatively, arrive in Bedale by train on the Fireworks Express service.

The Wensleydale Railway Fireworks Express

This year the Wensleydale Railway will again be running a special service from Leyburn to Bedale to allow people from the west end of the dale easier access to the event. The train will arrive in Bedale in plenty of time to walk from the station to the bonfire in time for the official light up and return after the firework display has completed.
