About Silk Toadstool Workshop - The Station

Join textile artist Kayleigh Davis from Ocre Natural Dye Studio to create your own hand-stitched toadstool decoration, using beautiful naturally dyed silks. You will receive your own toadstool kit and Kayleigh will guide you step-by-step through the creation of your toadstool decoration which you'll take home. This workshop is best suited to those with experience in stitching as there is some fine detail involved.

Kayleigh Davis is a textile artist, facilitator and the owner of Ocre Natural Dye Studio, whose practice focuses on naturally dyed silks. Immersed in nature from a young age, her work explores the impermanence and fragility of the natural world throughout the seasons by embedding foraged and grown pigments into fabric. Her process is meditative as she forages for seasonal botanicals in local woodlands and grows her own dye plants in a dedicated colour garden.
