About Tributaries - The Workhouse Museum

A celebration of one of Yorkshires Rivers: the River Yore as told by Fell-Foss Theatre and the people of Ripon and Wensleydale, with the Dales Countryside Museum and Ripon Workhouse Museum. A collaboration with the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trusts Rivers4Life project, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The culmination of a project along the rivers watercourse, creating theatre from the head of the dales to its cathedral city. Discover the spirit of the river and its importance to those who have lived along its banks through the ages. Explore history, folklore and the current challenges facing the health of our rivers.

Tributaries promises to be a rich theatrical event, with music, poetry, Greek choruses, a giant and a kelpie!

Outdoor seating (chairs provided). Come dressed for the weather (no umbrellas or dogs please)

Produced by Fell-Foss in collaboration with the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trusts Rivers4Life project, supported by Dales Countryside Museum & Ripon Workhouse Museum. Funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to National Lottery players.
