About Creative Landscapes - Newburgh Priory
This event will focus on nature, culture and arts. Find out about North Yorkshire projects that use culture, heritage and creativity to explore, celebrate and learn about the natural world. The networking lunch will be a great opportunity to meet colleagues from creatives to conservation and nature professionals. This event has been organised in partnership with the Howardian Hills and Nidderdale National Landscapes.

Francesca Pert, Howardian Hill National Landscape: ' Creative Engagement in the Landscape the Artists Way'.
Matt Trevelyan, Nidderdale National Landscape: 'New Eyes for Nidderdale Creative projects rooted in the landscape, from radio-making and curlew songs to giant puppet theatre'.

Workshop:
Led by Creative Practitioners John Arnison and Paula Hickey.
An introduction to the Cyanotype process and how it can be used to capture details from nature. You will learn how to create a cyanotype photogram and get introduced to a more experimental method, which captures the flow of water within the medium. There will be an opportunity to try some of the techniques yourself within the grounds of the Newburgh Priory Estate after the workshop.
A simple sandwich lunch will be provided which will include vegetarian options. You are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. This event is funded and supported by North Yorkshire Council Culture and Archive Service in partnership with the Howardian Hills and Nidderdale National landscape.
