About Christopher P Wood and the Chamber of Secrets Before and after Grimm - Woodend Gallery and Studios

Join artist Christopher P Wood, as he talks about the evolution and refinement of his ideas and images over the last 40 years, leading up to and beyond Red Riding and the Brothers Grimm. In this talk, Christopher will explore the role technique plays in the complete expression of ideas and offer personal insights from his life as a professional artist. Expect fascinating anecdotes about his creative journey and the influence of friendships with fellow artists, art dealers, writers, musicians, and poets along the way.

This talk accompanies the exhibitionRed Riding and the Brothers Grimm, where folklore meets art in a series of paintings, collages, and etchings by acclaimed British artist Christopher P. Wood. Inspired by the haunting beauty and darkness of the Grimm Fairy Tales, these works reimagine classic stories through dreamlike landscapes, expressive figures, and touches of the surreal.
