Staithes Festival of Arts and Heritage 2026 - Various venues: Staithes

Over 100 artists will transform Staithes into a village-wide celebration of art, music and heritage this September.

Staithes Festival of Arts & Heritage returns with artists, makers, musicians, talks, workshops and heritage events taking place across the beautiful coastal village of Staithes.

The festival begins with a Friday evening preview on 11 September, giving visitors the chance to explore venues, meet artists and enjoy the opening atmosphere before the full weekend programme begins on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September.

For one weekend, cottages, halls, galleries and hidden spaces throughout the village are transformed into pop-up exhibition venues, showcasing a wide range of work including painting, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, photography, printmaking and mixed media.

Visitors can enjoy a weekend of art, live music, heritage talks, demonstrations, workshops, food and the unique atmosphere of Staithes’ winding streets, harbour and coastal setting.
