About Staithes Festival of Arts and Heritage 2026 - Various venues: Staithes

Staithes Festival of Arts & Heritage returns this year, bringing together artists, makers, musicians, talks, workshops and heritage events across the beautiful coastal village of Staithes.

The festival begins with a Friday evening preview on 11 September, giving visitors the chance to explore venues, meet artists and enjoy the opening atmosphere before the full weekend programme begins.

For one weekend, cottages, halls, galleries and hidden spaces throughout the village are transformed into pop-up exhibition venues, with over 100 artists showcasing a wide range of work including painting, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, photography, printmaking and mixed media.

Visitors can enjoy a weekend of art, live music, heritage talks, demonstrations, workshops, food and the unique atmosphere of Staithes’ winding streets and harbour.
