Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms in the heart of Victorian Harrogate is a step back in history. Treat yourself to a traditional afternoon tea in the tearooms or upstairs in the Imperial Room. Enjoy breakfast with a Swiss twist, a delicious lunch or a slice of cake, pretty patisserie or a scone.

There is also a Harrogate Bettys at RHS Garden Harlow Carr. Enjoy the same delicious food and sweet treats overlooking the beautiful gardens. Outdoor seating in the summer months offers lovely al fresco eating with the smell of flowers and birdsong in the background.

Roo’s Tearoom near Selby is where you will find a warm welcome and a delicious menu of breakfasts, lunches and of course, homemade cakes served with great coffee. Named after the family dog, this is, of course, a lovely dog-friendly tearoom.

The Stables Tearoom at Carlton Towers offers the perfect place for you to enjoy delicious lunches and light bites, homemade cakes, scones and afternoon tea. Eat outside and enjoy views of the walled garden vineyard plus there are doggie treats for your four-legged friends.

Situated on a working farm near Malton, the Whole Hogg Farm Shop and Tearoom is home to hearty farmer’s breakfast, lunches, sandwiches or jacket potatoes using potatoes from their farm. Try yummy cakes and traybakes with a cup of tea or go for an afternoon tea. There is a gluten free and children's menu too.

Ampleforth Abbey Tearoom is set in the grounds of the abbey with stunning views. Look out for Mouseman furniture in the oak-panelled tearoom. The menu offers breakfast and lunch dishes alongside a great choice of cakes and scones. Try some Ampleforth Abbey apple juice or cider made with apples from their own orchard.

Visit Botham’s tearoom in the market town of Pickering with the same delicious menu as the Whitby tearooms. Watch the world go by as you sit down and enjoy a pot a tea with a yummy slice of cake or scone with lashings of jam and cream on top.

Botham’s Baxtergate Tearooms is close to the harbour in Whitby and here you can enjoy tasty sandwiches, toasties or jacket potatoes or indulge your sweet tooth with cakes, scones or afternoon tea. Try their famous Whitby Lemon Bun, first made over 100 years ago.

Beacon Farm Ice Cream Parlour & Tearooms near Whitby offers a choice of delicious breakfasts, lunches and light bites. Indulge in home baked sweet treats or an ice cream made on the farm. Sit by a log fire in winter or the courtyard area in summer. Dogs are welcome too.

The Stained Glass Centre at Cayton near Scarborough has a lovely tearoom serving lunches, cakes and scones which can also be enjoyed in their garden in the summer months. Or push the boat out with a cream or afternoon tea.
