Morning

North Yorkshire Moors Railway

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs through beautiful moorland countryside. Step back in time on this steam journey leaving from the 1930s-themed Pickering station.

Stop at the pretty Grosmont station or Goathland station, famous as Hogsmeade in the Harry Potter films. Stay on until the end of the line at Whitby and spend some time at the seaside.

Families can take part in pixie and pirate activities over the summer holidays with craft days, games, theatre and trails.

Time for lunch

Courtyard Cafe, Dalby Forest

Situated in Dalby Forest you can choose to sit inside or outside and take in the beautiful surrounding woods while you enjoy some tasty lunch.

Wraps, bagels, jacket potatoes are all on the menu and you can finish lunch with some delicious sweet treats or take something away with you for the journey. Fuel up ready for an afternoon of garden fun.

Afternoon

Woldies

Spend the afternoon at Woldies, near to Malton. Explore the outdoor play area and interactive nature trails that take you through gardens and wildlife areas. Go on the miniature railway, head into the den building area, play giant garden games and find your way around the willow maze.

Become a superhero over the summer holidays and complete the missions to earn your super stamps and receive your sticker.

Enjoy delicious food and drink from the Teahive Takeaway before looking around the farm shop.

And finally

See the White Horse at Sutton Bank

Head to the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre and walk to the iconic white horse, cut into the limestone escarpment.

The panoramic views are spectacular, and you can listen out for the sounds of birds and wildlife whilst capturing the perfect family photo.
