Ben Avison's Wild Wisdom and Becky Taylor & Sam Lawrence - Settle Victoria Hall

A special evening celebrating the launch of Wild Wisdom: Songs of the Green Trails a new collaborative album and multimedia project from Ben and Jon Avison, created with 20 artists and writers. Blending original songs, storytelling and visual art, Wild Wisdom explores our connection to landscape and the experience of long-distance walking, brought to life by a full band and guest contributors.

Joining the bill, Becky Taylor and Sam Lawrence are an acoustic duo known for their rich, multi-instrumental performances. Becky is a highly accomplished player of the uilleann and Northumbrian pipes, while Sam brings virtuosity across a wide range of stringed instruments and songs. Between them, they draw on an array of instruments including whistles, accordion, hurdy-gurdy, mandolin and bouzouki creating a lively and engaging set full of variety and character.
