The session emphasises why understanding moisture behaviour is essential for upgrading older buildings effectively and safely.

About the Speaker:

Nicholas Heath, Director of NDM Heath Ltd. in North Yorkshire, is a leading expert in the sustainable retrofit of traditional and historic buildings. He has worked on a wide variety of historic and significant buildings across the UK, with clients including UNESCO, Historic England, the National Trust and multiple universities as well as numerous architect firms and private clients.
Nick is a Certified Passivhaus Consultant and Retrofit Coordinator, sits on national working groups, and has authored major technical guidance on retrofit and moisture management. He regularly teaches at professional and postgraduate levels and is involved in several industry bodies, including the STBA, AECB, The Green Register, and university programmes at York and UCL.
