About Our Man In The Field - Old Parcels Office
Our Man In The Field is UK singer-songwriter Alex Ellis who writes musical snapshots from the lives he’s observed or the life he’s lead. Influences include the open spaces of the North East Coast and the raw energy overflowing into London’s sky line, and all the people in between.
before close is the collaborative project of UK songwriters and producers Jodie Nicholson and Joe Ramsey; a sonic and visual time capsule rooted in place. Recorded in intimate, rural locations, each project is crafted within a condensed window of time, capturing the essence of its surroundings in both sound and sight.
Using a single microphone to record vocals simultaneously, before close bear songs exactly as they are, as they were written, creating a listen that is uncomplicated, home-grown and deeply human.
