About Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat - Coronation Hall
The well loved musical begins with a Narrator discovering an old book and recounting the tale of Joseph, Jacobs favourite son. Gifted a splendid multi-coloured coat, Josephs dreams of ruling his brothers spark jealousy, leading them to sell him into slavery in Egypt.
There, Joseph rises in Potiphars household but is falsely accused and imprisoned. His gift for interpreting dreams brings him before Pharaoh, where he predicts seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. Elevated to a position of power, Joseph oversees Egypts preparations.
When famine strikes, his brothers come seeking food, unaware of his identity. After testing their integrity, Joseph forgives them and reunites with his family, bringing Jacob to Egypt in a joyful reconciliation.
