About The Captain's Beard - Settle Victoria Hall

The Captains Beard are one of the UKs most seasoned folk-rock and sea shanty groups. Playing over a hundred shows a year, theyve carried their tales of the sea from rowdy taverns to large festival stages like Tartan Heart (Scotland), Cidre et Dragon (France), Zomerfolk (Netherlands), and even to the grandeur of Alexandra Palace (London).

Their performances are energetic, heartfelt, and full of mischief part concert, part voyage, and never the same twice. Expect immaculate harmonies, wild fiddle and accordion duels, epic drums, and raucous stories that will leave audiences laughing, singing, and maybe even questioning their taste in mermaids.

With over three million Spotify streams of their version of John Kanakanaka (featured on the US film Operation Taco Garys) and three acclaimed albums that draw tens of thousands of listeners every month, theyve built a devoted following across borders. Their latest release, Cannonballs Deep, won Best Album of 2024 at the CeltCast Awards in the Netherlands.

The Captains Beard are more than a band theyre an experience. Bringing thunderous energy and infectious joy to every stage, theyre ready to turn your festival into an unforgettable voyage!
