About Doris the Dormouse - Stephen Joseph Theatre

This is the fable of Doris the Dormouse. Listen…take it in… be inspired, & dream big, as we take you on a journey…

Doris the Dormouse begins to prepare for her first winter alone but the cold is fast approaching, and with time running out… will she have had enough of the best berries in town to get by this winter, or will she go hungry?

Against the clock of autumn’s end, Doris goes in search of a rabbit’s lost home. Will she be able to find it? Will she succeed and get back in time for winter's beginning?

‘Doris the Dormouse’ is a show about kindness, change, community, and what’s possible with a little help from our friends. Join us this Spring for a brand-new gentle and heartwarming story filled with big characters, original live folk music and puppetry.

All performances are relaxed and accessible, with a Visual Guide and sensory table available to help you feel at ease before the show
