About Divine Deco - Georgian Theatre Royal

What would you wear in the 1920s?

In Divine Deco - The Art of the Dressmaker, costume historians Lucy Adlington and Meridith Towne showcase all-original fashions from the Art Deco era, from glitzy evening gowns to stylish streetwear and even silk pyjamas.

We'll explore the ways in which women of all ages and all sizes adapted and enjoyed fashionable outfits, shaped by lingerie and foundation garments - all beautifully accessorised of course. Patterns, fabrics and embellishments make a dazzling transformation!
