About Literary Lunch with Steph McGovern - The Crown Hotel

Bookings open to Friends of the Festival at 10am on Friday 27 June 2025.

General bookings open at 10am on Wednesday 2 July 2025.

Steph McGovern is an award-winning broadcaster known for her warmth, wit and straight-talking style. With over 20 years in journalism, she was a mainstay of the BBC Breakfast sofa before launching her own BAFTA-nominated show, Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4.

She now co-hosts The Rest Is Money podcast with Robert Peston, offering smart insights into how economics shapes our lives. A regular on Have I Got News for You as both panellist and host, Steph brings humour and heart to every conversation.

As guest host to our Literary Lunch, she’ll share stories from her life on air and behind the mic - with a teasing nod to her next chapter as a novelist as her debut thriller Deadline lands this summer.

Ticket includes a welcome drink, two-course lunch followed by tea or coffee with petits fours and talk with Steph McGovern.
