Christmas Modern Calligraphy Workshop - The Station

This beginner-friendly modern calligraphy workshop is the perfect introduction to the art of beautiful lettering. You will start with a brief overview of the calligraphy kit and how each tool works, then move through a series of guided exercises, beginning with basic strokes, progressing to uppercase and lowercase letterforms, and finally creating words and phrases. Finally, you will create your own set of festive gift tags whilst exploring a variety of different colured inks. There will also be the opportunity to design and create your own Christmas card, complete with a matching envelope.

All materials used during the workshop are included to take home: ink pot, pen holder, nib, practice worksheets, and guideline sheets ideal for continued practice - and of course you take home the Christmas gift tags and card you've made!

This workshop is taught by Hannah, the founder of Hanmade Calligraphy, who began her calligraphy journey in 2018 while creating signage and stationery for her own wedding. With a background in education and a passion for sharing her craft, she launched Hanmade Calligraphy in 2020, offering personalised stationery and creative workshops. When shes not lettering, she enjoys time with her husband, young son, and their lovable black labrador.
