A Musical Christmas Celebration
North Yorkshires new pocket-sized orchestra presents an early celebration of Christmas, a mixture of traditional favourites and less familiar gems. Baroque music in the first half, with Corellis Christmas Concerto, Vivaldis Concerto for 4 Violins, and Telemanns Trumpet Concerto. After the interval theres music with a Christmas theme by Vaughan Williams, Josef Suk and Florence Price. The singing starts with carols by John Rutter sung by members of the Swale Singers and Richmond Choral Society, and finally its the audiences turn to join in some traditional carols, with trumpeter Michael Atkinson providing sparkling descants!
