Gaelforce Folk Rock Band - Leyburn Arts Centre

Gaelforce are a Celtic Folk Rock music band from Yorkshire playing a mixture of rocked up traditional folk songs, self penned songs/tunes in the trad style & jigs n reels

Sammy Dowgill bass, vocal
Jim Brierley drums, vocal
Craig McIntosh highland bagpipes Pipe Major with the Los Angeles Pipe Band USA

The band have recorded & released the album `Equinox` which has been distributed through distrokid & is available on most digital platforms including Spotify, Amazon Music & Apple Music. & at gigs.

On Jan 6th2023 Gaelforce played at the Great British Folk Festival at Butlins in Skegness & won by public vote the competition on the introducing stage. It was a greast moment playing to a couple of thousand festival people & we were then invited to play on the centre stage on the Saturday which was fantastic playing again to a couple of thousand people.
In 2023 played at Gate of Southwell Folk festival in Nottinghamshire, Stainsby Folk fest, Otley Folk fest + more
