About Pat Douthwaite: Alive and Kicking

Written by Anna Carlisle and performed by Alexandra Mathie. This one-woman theatre piece, with live piano and projected images, unravels the knotty bond between Pat Douthwaite’s reckless lifestyle and her dramatic and often confrontational artworks.An artist of extraordinary and unique vision she screamed out an uncompromising view of the human condition in works that were nothing less than genius. Douthwaite saw scant proper recognition in her lifetime; the art-loving public wasn't ready for her maverick and unbridled style.Some triggering themes. Doors 7pm; Performance 7.30pm; duration 1hr plus Q&A (optional).
