About Yevgeny Sudbin

Yevgeny Sudbin is a renowned pianist who has performed at top venues such as London’s Royal Festival Hall and New York’s Lincoln Center. His recordings have won many awards, including Gramophone’s 2023 Recording of the Year. A former student at the Royal Academy of Music, he is now a visiting professor. His upcoming Harrogate concert promises an exciting and diverse programme, showcasing his exceptional skill and musical range. Sudbin is set to bring his expressive touch to Bach’s Fantasia and Fugue in A minor, highlighting its emotional depth and complexity. In Liszt’s Funérailles, the piece’s dramatic intensity will capture feelings of mourning and grandeur, allowing Sudbin to showcase his remarkable technical skill and interpretive sensitivity.The concert will last c.2 hours including a 20 minute interval.
