About The Natural World - Clare Dean and Ailsa Read

An exhibition of paintings inspired by the natural worldClare Dean and Ailsa Read are West Yorkshire artists who have a passion for the natural world, meadows and the landscape and coast and seascapes.Clare is a keen gardener and has always enjoyed creating and crafting in any form but has now been painting for 20 years having tried every other craft going. She uses mainly acrylic but often uses things from the garden to create texture and impressions building up texture with layers and palette knife skills.The sea has always held a deep fascination for Ailsa, with its ever changing moods & colour. Because of the unexpected excitement in its ceaseless energy Ailsa feels compelled to paint.
