About Steve Williams and the Blues Deluxe

Town Hall regulars will know Steve Williams as one of the north's best sound engineers, Masham folk will know him as a biker regularly on the Market Place, but he is also a top-class singer-songwriter.Steve was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2023; after heavy treatment and a life threatening chest infection he made a full recovery, and also wrote ten original songs, some based on his illness and recovery, and some inspired by his journey back into country music and the blues which he has been playing for many years. After getting the all clear he booked a trip to Nashville and Memphis, and these experiences combine to form the album 10,000 Miles from Memphis, which we are proud to host the launch of.The album is full of different styles of Americana music all close to Steve's heart - and features Steve on guitar, pedal steel and vocals, along with top session musicians Paul Smith (drums), Neil Harland (bass), Sally Tindill (backing vocals), and John P Taylor (piano, Hammond organ, backing vocals)Support act on stage at 7.30pm promptly.
