About National Garden Scheme – May and September

We are once again opening the garden as part of the NGS Open Garden Scheme, this is the first of two open days for the scheme this year. The second National Gardens Scheme open day is on September 15th, details here. Regular admission prices apply. There is no need to pre-book.The National Garden Scheme is a registered charity which opens gardens of quality, character and interest to the public. Since 1927 they have raised funds to support nursing and caring charities, and over £25 million in the last 10 years. Where does the money go? All entry fees and 10% of plant sales will be donated to the NGS. All money taken from refreshments on these days will be donated to St Helen’s Church, Stillingfleet. What will you see? In May the garden is full of colour and wildlife. You will be able to wander through all the different parts of the garden and gain inspiration for your own garden. Many of the plants you will see are available to buy in our plant nursery and we can help you choose the right plant for your garden. The tea room will be open too for drinks and cake. There will also be an art exhibition in the tea room and small locally sourced gifts for sale.
