About Linocutting Workshop

Friday 30th May 2025, 9am - 1pm'Lines on Lino' - Printmaker Sally from Ashford Cottage Design will lead this lino cutting print workshop. You will learn how to explore mark making and then cut, and print, your lino cut design. This is suitable for beginners or anyone who enjoys this beautiful process and wishes to have a lovely morning playing with textures and making a small print. Depending on experience in the technique, you will have time to make one simple, or one more complex lino print during the workshop. Sally will guide you through each stage of the process and provide designs or ideas for a print which you can use as a starting point or adapt, or design your own. Bring along any locally foraged treasures or images that you want to work with to form the basis of your artwork which will form a postcard sized print .Wear something suitable or bring an apron for the printmaking as ink will be used. If you have your own lino tools please bring them along, but all materials are provided if necessary. If you're looking for inspiration, check out Sally's solo exhibition 'Moors and More' in The Station Artisan Gallery, 23rd May - 3rd June 2025.£55 per person
