About Wildlife and Landscapes, Movement and Light of the Dales - Lynn Ward and Jo Garlick - The Station
An exhibition of pastel, oil and acrylic paintings capturing and inspired by the wildlife and landscapes of the dales
Lynn paints in both acrylic and oil and is mostly inspired by the landscapes around her. Particularly drawn to a large brooding sky or a contrasting dry stone wall of which the dales have in abundance. Using colour and texture to create a sense of atmosphere and light.
Jo works in soft pastels and is particularly inspired by British Wildlife. Jo loves the flexibility that pastel allows and enjoys experimenting with different techniques and ideas to portray texture, movement and light.
