About Mosaic Workshop - The Station

Saturday 2nd August 2025, 2pm - 5pm

A fun and relaxed introductory mosaic workshop, playing with colour and texture to create your own coaster to take home. Suitable for adults and teenagers. No artistic experience necessary, just a desire to try something new!

Expert tutor, Helen, will guide you through all the steps to equip you with the building blocks to expand further if you wish.

1. An introduction to the materials - a host of different ceramic and glass tesserae / pottery fragments / glass off-cuts

2. Planning and drawing a design - design inspiration is provided, or you may wish to use one of the pre-prepared designs

3. Learning to cut tiles with tile cutters and glass cutters

4. Fixing your pieces into position on your base board design, with mosaic tile adhesive. This can then be taken home and left to dry overnight.

5. You will be provided all the materials to do the final grouting stage at home, which will complete the finished surface. A full demonstration will be given during the workshop.

All materials are provided but please bring an apron to help keep your clothes clean.

£55.00 + £4.29 booking fee per person
