Mike Lovatt's Brass Pack - The Royal Hall

Mike Lovatt is a renowned UK virtuoso trumpeter, recording artist, and sought-after educator, celebrated for his versatility across genres. He is Principal Trumpet of the Grammy-nominated John Wilson Orchestra, the BBC Big Band, and Superbrass, and has performed as a soloist on numerous film scores, including Avengers: Endgame and Judy. Drawing inspiration from Billy May’s Big Fat Brass album, Lovatt formed Mike Lovatt’s Brass Pack to recreate its iconic sound and introduce new arrangements. The group features a unique brass ensemble with French horns replacing saxophones and has captivated audiences with performances like the Suite from Carmen arranged by Colin Skinner.

Having launched at the Harrogate Music Festival in 2023, Mike Lovatt’s Brass Pack are returning this year with a programme of Hollywood hits to kick the 2025 Festival off in style. The Brass Pack will be joined by Anna-Jane Casey, best known for her work in musical theatre, starring in shows such as Cats, West Side Story and Chicago. This exciting collaboration promises to deliver an unforgettable evening of glitz, glamour, and timeless tunes.
