About Barnacled Anchor Tales - More than Books Eastfield Library

Barnacled Anchor Tales; twisted stories pulled up from the depths, and encrusted in the bizarre. Jackanory-inspired performance.

Meet Scarborough’s very own ‘Mrs. Lofthouse’ as you enter the themed reading rooms for an evening of Twisted Barnacled Tales.

A collaboration spoken word installation; performed by actor-writer Rachel Fearnehough (‘Thank You for The Music’, a one woman monologue about dementia), based on local author JB Forsyth's Twisted Scarborough stories, and tale-inspired themed cut-out props (Captain Pugwash meets Mr. Benn style) by artist Simon Doughty.

Door opens 5.45pm for 6pm, and 7.00pm ‘performance’.
