A heartfelt and hilarious comedy about football, friendship, and finding your place in the world.

Luke wants Danny, but Danny has a secret. Joe’s content in goal, but Geoff is chasing the spotlight. And Viv? She’s determined to beat the lesbians to the league title. Game on.

Tom Wells’ Jumpers for Goalposts premiered at Watford Palace Theatre in 2013 before touring the UK, including a celebrated run at London’s Bush Theatre.

This special staged reading will be performed by members of the Stephen Joseph Theatre Young Company, a talent development programme supporting the next generation of theatre-makers in North Yorkshire.
