About Bedroom Farce - Harrogate Theatre

In this gleeful comedy set in three bedrooms, four couples struggle hilariously with the ups and downs of their rocky relationships.

Ernest and Delia are a middle-aged couple trying to celebrate their wedding anniversary in peace. Meanwhile, newly-weds Malcolm and Kate are hosting a housewarming party, inviting Jan and Nick who are themselves navigating the pitfalls of commitment and a very bad back. Throw in troubled pair Trevor and Suzannah who create havoc wherever they go and you dive into a hilarious world of misunderstandings, mishaps and marital mayhem with Alan Ayckbourn’s uproarious play.

With its charm, chaos, physical comedy and Ayckbourn’s trademark razor-sharp dialogue, Bedroom Farce is a laugh-out-loud masterpiece that will leave you smiling long after the curtain falls.
