About Hot Club du Nord - Leyburn Jazz Festival 2025 20/10 - St Matthew's Church, Leyburn

Featuring British Jazz Awards Nominee Emma Fisk on violin & the exceptional talents of James Birkett & David Harris (guitars) & Bruce Rollo (double bass), Hot Club du Nord bring to life the classic 1930s & 40s repertoire of Django Reinhardt & Stephane Grappelli's Hot Club de France.

The band encompasses a wealth of experience, knowledge & love of the hot club/ gypsy jazz style, & their sparkling performances, engaging manner & infectious joy in the music have made them a popular choice across concert halls, theatres, art centres, village halls, festivals & jazz clubs.

You'll hear the popular songs, jazz standards & Reinhardt/ Grappelli originals as performed by the French maestros, & Emma & the band's fresh, inspired re-interpretations of the material. A treat for connoisseurs of swinging, string jazz & lovers of all things vintage!

'From the opening bars of Honeysuckle Rose to the final J'attendrai the magic unfolded...Gypsy jazz/swing at its finest.' Sage Gateshead review

Please note that doors will open 20 minutes before the concert starts, to enable the musicians to set up after the previous event.
