About Beginners Watercolour Inks Course - The Station

Would you like to learn all about the magic of vibrant watercolour inks in a friendly, welcoming environment? With a course of 3 sessions, local artist Jaci Stroud will introduce you to this media and her techniques, tips and tricks. Support for all ages and ability from complete beginners to artists wanting a change! All materials are provided, and you can work at your own pace in this relaxed class. Jaci is artist in residence at Goosewing Studios and was a finalist in the competition Sketch for Survival 2024. She is inspired by our beautiful natural world - from elephants to peonies.

29th September
Week 1: An introduction to watercolour inks - Brusho. Try different techniques for washes, backgrounds and making marks before Jaci will support you individually to create a simple painting.

6th October
Week 2: Follow that line! Quick sketching techniques using charcoal, markers and pens before exploring composition ideas for your next painting.

13th October
Week 3: The magic of colour! Individual support with tips and tricks to complete and extend your own paintings.

85 per person for the full 3-week course. 10am - 12.30pm each week. All materials provided.
