About Crystal Cavern Shop at Stump Cross Caverns
The Crystal Cavern is the shop at Stump Cross Caverns, a show cave high on Greenhow Hill in the Yorkshire Dales. We’re family run, and we choose every piece ourselves. That means gem fairs in France and sourcing trips to Morocco, finding crystals you won’t see on the average high street.
Inside you’ll find crystals and geodes of every size, fossils, and a jewellery range built around the stones we love most. There’s something for a first pocket money purchase and something for a serious collector.
Our team know their stuff. Ask them what you’re holding, where it came from and what makes it unusual. You can crack your own geode or pan for gems in the sluice before you shop, too.
Opening hours
Summer (July to early September)
Open daily, 9am to 6pm
Spring and autumn (after Easter to June, September to October half term)
Open daily except Tuesdays. 10am to 5pm weekdays, 10am to 6pm weekends
Winter (4 November to Easter)
Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. 10am to 4pm Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 5pm weekends
Half terms (February and October)
Open daily, 10am to 6pm
