The Choir of St Thomas-on-The Bourne Choral Concert

With over 40 adult, boy and girl singers St Thomas’ has one of the best parish church choirs in the country. The programme will include some of the finest choral music from across the centuries The Choir of St. Thomas-on-The Bourne, Farnham, Surrey - 3pm to 4pm

The Parish Church of St. Thomas-on-The Bourne in Farnham has had a choir since its foundation in the 1850s. Today it has over 30 children singing regularly at services and concerts alongside a back row of committed adults. Their recent annual tours have included Paris, Bruges, Pembrokeshire and now Yorkshire. This free concert will feature music from their church year: from Choral Matins to Evensong; Concerts to Pet Services: music by composers from Wiliam Byrd in the 16th century to contemporary composers Sarah Quartel and Jonathan Dove, including Haydn, Brahms, Elgar, Faure, Stanford, and Leighton.
