About Non-Adhesive Bookbinding Workshop - The Station

Join local book binder Delphine to create three attractive book structures: a concertina book, a dos-à-dos (or back-to-back) notebook and an exposed spine link-stitch sketchbook.

‘Non-adhesive’ is the general term for books created through a combination of folding paper (rather like origami) and simple sewing techniques. Historically and across the world, many ingenious book structures have been developed to encase manuscripts and papers. In this workshop with Delphine, you will create three attractive, versatile non-adhesive structures: a concertina book, a dos-à-dos (or back-to-back) notebook and an exposed spine link-stitch sketch book. The aim is you will be able to make further books at home of your own desired shape and size without the need for special bookbinding materials and tools but using whatever paper and thread you have to hand.

£55 per person (+ £4.29 booking fee).

All materials supplied.
