Springwood Shepherd Huts

Our five self catering shepherd huts are hand built by the owners, being a family run business running the licensed shepherd huts. Everything about them has been designed to provide the best in comfort inside and traditional looks outside, to give you the best glamping experience possible.

As you walk through the main door you reach a fully equipped, fitted kitchen area with two induction hobs, a microwave/oven, fridge with a small freezer, toaster, kettle, country style sink and all the cutlery, pots and pans you should ever need. There's two beautiful breakfast bar stools to enjoy your breakfast or even sit by the log burner. To the right is a king size bed, with Egyptian cotton linen, duvet and pillows, there's also a smart TV on a swivel mount so you can view it from all around the hut. At the end of the bed is a cosy sofa facing the cast iron log burner, but don't worry you'll never be cold as there's also underfloor heating throughout the whole hut to keep you cosy warm.

Looking to the left from the main door is a fully equipped bathroom with a shower cubicle and a mains shower, sink, toilet, heated towel rail and amazingly soft towels and complementary toiletries on arrival. Storage hasn't been forgotten either, with storage space for hanging your clothes, and an iron and ironing board included. Even under the bed we have two pull out drawers for those extra bits.

Saving the best until last, outside you're treated to seating beside a fire pit, which can be used as a BBQ, looking out onto the fields where our Hebridean sheep, Alpacas grazing, our chickens roam freely through the day and our horse may pop his head out the stable to say hello.

Three of our shepherd huts have the bonus of a luxury hot tub looking out over our field. Ready and waiting for our guests to arrive to hop straight in . Parking is to the side of each of the huts, so no travelling far with your luggage.

So, whether you want to escape from it all and do nothing but enjoy peace, quiet and beautiful surroundings or if you want to be out and about enjoying York's attractions, its all here.

Additional Information: Open all year round with underfloor heating and an added bonus of a log burner for those colder days. Couples retreat perfect to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, celebration or even a mini moon. We can help with those added touches for a memorable experience. Hot Tubs are on three of our shepherd huts, electric hot tubs and ready for your arrival. A small holding of animals with our chickens roam freely through the days and leave delicious eggs to collect from the hen house. Come and meet our alpacas on a morning with us and get up close and feed them.
