Wenningdale Escapes

Wenningdale Escapes is a luxury lodge and glamping site based on Bentham Golf Course underneath the Yorkshire Dales 3 peaks with views up to the Lake district and Forest of Bowland. Open for business in 2018 the family run site offers an array of accommodation perfect to explore the local area or make the most of the beautiful golf course.

There are 11 glamping pods sympathetically placed around the golf course with views up to the 3 peaks and across the golf course. The pods come with a super king or twin bed, kitchenette, Wi-Fi, wardrobe space, TV and ensuite. They are perfect for romantic weekends away or golfing groups with the flexibility of twin beds and catering on offer. We also offer both pet friendly or, pet free pods. The first development of pods named after gills, a Yorkshire term for a beck or stream, are perched above the 9th green and look straight up to Ingleborough. The second development of pods are named after local Foss’s, Yorkshire for a waterfall. These are slightly larger and are placed around one of the many ponds around the course.

Wenningdale also has 3 rental lodges including 2 with two bedrooms and 1 with four bedrooms. The lodges are fully self-catering and in the two-bedroom lodges the bedroom arrangements are flexible. They have bespoke decking that make the most of the pitches to show the views. They make a great base for families or couples exploring the area.

Lunesdale and Dentdale are centre lounge, 2-bedroom lodges that have a bedroom either side of a central kitchen/living area. The bedrooms are both ensuite with the flexibility of super king or twin beds. The living area has a well-stocked kitchen with fridge freezer and all the home comforts. There are two comfortable sofas with a Smart TV and coffee table leading to a decking with views of the surrounding hills.

Wensleydale is a 4-bedroom lodge with 2 double bedrooms (one en suite) and 2 twin bedrooms. There is a large living area with a dining table for 8 people and patio doors leading to the decking with views over the 9th tee.

Alongside this Wenningdale also offers holiday home ownership, enabling you to come and visit whenever you want. Benefitting from a 12-month license customers can use their lodges whenever they want. All the lodges are built to residential specifications and can be bespoke designed to your and the pitches needs. Following the completion of the first development we have built our Dales development with views to Ingleborough in between the 2nd and 16th holes. The pitches are generously laid out to make the most of the space provided and the views available.

On site there is Bentham Golf Course that is a challenging course with a great layout and a growing reputation. The course has become a host for many county matches and hosts groups small and large from around the country.

In addition, there is 1922 Bar & Kitchen on site that has drinks, coffee, cakes and runs a menu during the summer and a limited offering in winter. This also offers function room hire for events and business meeting, so if you’re looking for a party or business get away, we can design a package to suit.
